I'm off to visit with my dad for a few weeks so I won't be able to update until I return home.
So I go to update the website this morning - adding Part 12 of Beautiful Mess - and it won't paste into the site. I'm doing the same thing I have done to add every other part of every other story that I've uploaded, and suddenly I got nothing. It copied from Word all right, but it just wouldn't paste onto the new page. And I really didn't want to have to retype the whole part again - Pink & Fluffy just don't type that fast. After trying to paste it several times I simply eliminated the element and started over - worked like a charm.
That's one thing I really like about this hosting site. It's actually very simple and easy for anyone to use. And it's very forgiving. So Part 12 of Beautiful Mess is now available. No more panic. :-) Especially on Sundays. Sunday is the one day I try to take for myself - no work and no chores around the house except for the necessary ones like washing the dishes. The rain makes it okay to sit around and work on the site or write without feeling guilty about all the things I could be doing instead. Kinda screwy I guess, but the truth nevertheless.
Last week was a busy week around here. I spent more time running around than I did getting anything constructive done, but sometimes there are just things that have to be taken care of. It's usually not all bunched up together like that, but it is what it is. Didn't stop everything though. Part 11 of Beautiful Mess is now posted. If you look around the site, you'll notice I have a couple completed stories that only have parts posted so far. That's because I'm going through them and putting them up as my beta readers send them to me. And God bless my beta readers for taking on this task. Because you know - that's a lot of stories and a lot of pages to read through.
I hope those of you on the Gulf Coast that were affected by Isaac are recovering from the flooding and damage he left behind. And that those of you in the Midwest were able to get enough rain to help alleviate the drought even a little bit. I try not to complain about getting rain even when we're saturated because I know how drought feels and I don't like it. I'd rather have the moisture. It's one reason I live in Florida - I like humidity and the nosebleeds it prevents. Part 10 of Beautiful Mess is now up. |
