Merry Christmas
-
to those of you who celebrate and Happy Holidays to everyone!
I hope this year has been kind to each of you and you have even
better things to look forward to in 2012.
I'm just stopping by to upload the
multi-fandom Christmas piece I wrote for Phil's Academy challenge -
it's not competing, so I can do that, you know. :-) It's just
a bit of Fluffy fun. In the meantime, I am working on
what I think will be a trilogy by the time all is said and done.
I am trying something a little different, so we'll see. But
it's not anywhere close to being ready to post yet - hopefully the
first part will be ready sometime in the spring of next year.
And speaking of, I hope each of you has a safe
and happy holiday season and an extraordinary new year! Thanks for
sticking with me! November

So....
-
I was going to post this on Halloween.. then I realized I actually
had no way to access my webpage from where I was. I'm gonna
have to look into changing that. However, right now I'm just stopping in to add the new
Halloween story that I wrote for the Academy invitational.
It's short
for me, though some would argue the point that 85 pages really isn't
all that short. Depends on your point of view, I guess, and
after Angel.... <g>
Anyway, Made For You is now up for your
reading enjoyment. It will be a while before I start posting
the next one. I haven't even started writing it yet. So we'll
see ya'll in a few!
October 09, 2011
Two updates
today -
for a couple reasons. Angel is finally finished (YEA!!)
and I usually increase the updates when a story is complete.
And since there are only two updates left on this story and I won't
be able to update for at least the next two weeks, I figure I'll let
ya'll have them both now as opposed to making you wait until the end
of the month to get them one at a time.
Meantime, I am working on a story for the
Halloween Academy Invitational - fortunately, I started it sometime
ago, so I might actually get it done on time. We'll
see. I do have another story coming down the pipeline, but
it's going to be a little while before I start posting.
I will be trying something a little different for me, and I have a
feeling it might take a little while to find a groove. Still,
when it's ready to be posted, it will be going here first, so keep
an eye out. For now,
please enjoy the last two parts of Guardian Angel. And
thank you for reading. :-)
October 02, 2011
October has
arrived -
and with it a couple of exceptionally busy months for me. I have
people coming into town three of the next four weeks and that week I
will be out of town myself. And of course the week I will be
gone is an update weekend. However, I will do my very best to
update early that week, as I will be visiting my dad and he still
has no web access.
For now, though, part 36 is up.
September 18, 2011
Not a lot -
to say today. I think the bleaching I did while cleaning
yesterday has eaten any coherent thought processes I had.
Hopefully it won't last too long - I do kinda need Pink & Fluffy in
working order to be able to do anything productive.
Angel is definitely winding down -
probably only another 3-4 parts left. Can't say I'll be sorry
to put THE END on this one... if only because I've spent 25 months
actually writing on it. Still, they have been good characters,
and I don't want to leave them (or ya'll) with loose ends. So
part 35 has been posted. :-)
September 04, 2011
I think Mother
Nature -
needs a time out. Honestly, if I didn't know any better, I'd
say she's throwing a temper tantrum... or PMSing. Not sure
there's enough chocolate in the world to fix her issues, though.
I am beginning to see the end of Angel,
I think. My betas are still squinting for it, but I can see
the station in the distance. It helps to know what the ending
is, I guess - just a matter of how long it takes to get there.
For now, though - Part 34 is up.
August 21, 2011
Almost missed
updating -
today. One of my betas has been busy in RL, and only just got
the corrections for this part back to me last night. However,
she made it in time, and so did I. So Part 33 is posted for
your reading pleasure. Me? I'm going back to writing -
I'm ready to be in a happy place.
August 07, 2011
I just realized -
that I've been posting Angel for over a year now... HOLY
CRAP!!! I knew it had turned into the never-ending story -
except for Valiant, which I consider to be a single epic with
multiple parts, Angel has become my longest story to date.
Pretty sure I'm going to even pass Phil's goal for Blood Bond.
With that in mind, Part 32 is up.
July 24, 2011
I'm
baaaaaaaaack
- My apologies for being a week late...
being gone for two weeks left a lot of catch-up work for me when I
got home. I'm technically still not done, but I needed a day
off before jumping back into it. Even though we're not
experiencing the heat wave that is hovering over much of the rest of
the US, it is still quiet hot and unbearably humid in my little
corner of the world, and most of what's left is outdoor work at
home. Hope those of
you in the heat affected areas of the States are staying cool
indoors and well-hydrated. There's really nothing funny about
heat stroke. Part 31
of Angel is finally up. :-)
July 03, 2011
Happy Independence Day weekend
- to my compatriots here in the good ol'
USofA and a lovely weekend to everyone. I am leaving town
Tuesday and will be gone for two weeks, so the next update will be
late as I will be traveling on that Sunday.
I understand the last part of Angel
was quite a shock for folks, and I apologize for leaving it where I
did. Honestly, I didn't plan it that way... it's just where
the cut happened to fall. The next bits are going to deal with
the aftermath, so just keep reminding yourselves of the
Storyteller's Cardinal Rule - because it is in effect for this
story.
That being said, Part 30 is
up.
June 19, 2011
Busy few days
- at my house, what with a birthday,
Father's Day and an anniversary in the space of about 10 days.
At least they are all reasons to celebrate, so no complaints from
me. And I still had time to add Part 29 of Angel to the
site, so it's all good.
June 05, 2011
Been Wii-ing
- with my kids. Too bad Pink &
Fluffy the brain cells know all-too-well that the body they are
housed in doesn't belong to a flexible teenager anymore. I
have a feeling my body's not gonna talk nice to me for the next few
days. Maybe I should focus on writing instead of Wii-ing.
But for now, Part 28 of
Angel is posted. :-)
May 23, 2011
Yes, I know
- I'm a day late with this update.
Let me just say in my defense that heat stroke tends to knock you
flat on your ass and leave it at that. However, Part 27 is now
up.
May 08, 2011
Happy
Mother's Day
- to all the moms out there. If
you are a mom, God bless you. If you have a mom, make sure you
tell her you love her as often as you can. Because you will
most certainly miss her when she's gone.
Another double update of Guardian Angel
today... just because I can. :-)
April 24, 2011
Happy Easter
- to those of you who celebrate and a
beautiful Sunday to everyone. Last week was my baby girl's
18th birthday, and tomorrow my dad will be 72. So in honor of
all the celebrating, I'm posting a double update of Guardian
Angel. And thanks
for the notes - it's cool to know folks are reading. :-)
April 10, 2011
Just back
- from visiting my dad in Pensacola.
We had a great time and it was nice to be able to visit the beach. I
miss the beach. Not
sure if anyone is still with me, but I'm still writing Guardian
Angel. And for now part 22 is available for reading.
March 27, 2011
Spring's been sprung
- at my house and in fact we are trying
desperately not to turn the AC on yet... because once it's on, it'll
be on for at least six months and I'm actually kind of fond of fresh
air. It won't be much longer, though - it's supposed to be 91*
here today. :-P
Guardian Angel continues to roll along - it is now as long as
Blood Bond and it's still not finished. But for now, part
21 is posted.
March 13, 2011
Regularly
scheduled update
- today. Thoughts and prayers go
out to the people of Japan. So much destruction... and not all
of it natural which only makes it worse. I don't consider
myself an alarmist, but sometimes I wonder if Mother Nature is
trying to purge herself of the infestation and blight that humanity
is upon her. I hope not - pretty sure that would ruin my day.
I've removed the Links page from the website
for the moment - I need to fix a few things. Meantime, Part 20
of Guardian Angel is now up.
March 06, 2011
Stopping by
- to add eBooks for the last few
stories. Thank you, Judi, for formatting them for me despite
the issues! :-) And since I was already here, I decided to go ahead
and post part 19 of Guardian Angel. So an extra update
this week.
February 27, 2011
I have Jury
Duty
- this week. Whoo hoo! The
only saving grace is that I can write while I'm waiting for the
eternally slow wheels of justice to turn. Good thing too -
Guardian Angel has passed raging epic status and moved to
another galaxy. I just hope it ends up being worth the ride.
For now, part 18 is ready
for your perusal.
February 13, 2011
Valentine's is here
- so there are extra updates today.
Two inter-related Birds of Prey stories for Valentine's Day and your
regularly scheduled update of Guardian Angel.
Peace.
January 30, 2011
January
- is already gone, and I'm trying to
figure out where it went in such a hurry. Then again... why
shouldn't it be like the rest of the world? And let's face it
- we're an instant society. We want everything faster, faster,
faster. I'm guilty of that myself. Whatever happened to
simply savoring the moment and enjoying things as they come?
Something to think about anyway.
Meanwhile, part 16 of Guardian Angel is complete.
January 18, 2011
Obviously, Pink & Fluffy
- are just not with it lately...
otherwise, why would I keep forgetting to post a
Christmas/Solstice/Holiday themed story?? However, I did
remember today, so Snippets of Solstice is now up for those
of you who like the multi-fandom thing.
Back in a couple weeks with more of Angel.
January 16, 2011
No snow
- where I live - hallelujah - but that
doesn't mean it doesn't get cold here. Some of the citrus I've
picked from the back yard in the last few weeks has been frozen.
Gives a whole new meaning to frozen orange juice concentrate. :-D
Just a good excuse to stay inside and plug
away at the writing, which means part 15 of Guardian Angel is
ready for your perusal.
January 02, 2011
Late! Late!
Late!
- today, since I was out with the Boy,
but at least I got it in before the day was completely over! :-)
I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday
with friends and family. Personally, I'm glad they're done for
a while - damned things run me ragged. :-P Fortunately, now I should
have a little more time to settle in and write. And in the meantime,
please enjoy part 14 of Guardian Angel.
OH - and Happy New Year!! :-)
December 19,
2010
YEA for my
daughter
- who remembered I was supposed to
update today. Otherwise, I'm not sure when I would have
thought about it... mostly because Pink & Fluffy have not readjusted
to a number of extreme changes they've been hit with in the last few
days. They'll catch up eventually, though... I hope.
My wish for each of you is a lovely holiday
season spent in the company of friends and family. Here is
part 13 of Guardian Angel. See you in 2011!
November 28,
2010
Last update
- for a couple weeks. I will be
out of town for a bit - spending some time with the Posse. Looking forward to that as we are only
able to get together once or twice a year. Hell of a thing
trying to coordinate with folks when you're all spread out from
pillar to post, but we manage to get it done. :-) Still, I did promise an
update before I left - so here is part 12 of Angel.
November 21,
2010
Happy
Thanksgiving
- to all the folks in the States.
We will be celebrating late at my house; my son is pulling late
shifts the entire weekend. Not that it matters - the turkey
won't last long no matter when it gets cooked and I think we should
try to be thankful more than one day a year. But let's not get
on THAT soapbox. :-P
Posting this week because it's my regular week to do so and will be
posting next week as well because I will be out of town the two
Sundays following. For now though - part 11 of Angel is up.
November 13,
2010
Surprise!
- I wasn't actually supposed to update
this week. But since I missed several weeks due to technical
difficulties and because Shery asked so nicely, I decided to go
ahead and post. And it even comes a day earlier than my normal
posting day - because I will be out at an arts festival with my
daughter all day tomorrow.
Without further ado, part 10 of Angel is up.
November 07,
2010
November is
here
-
and fall has arrived in Central Florida for a couple days. I
realize that for most of you, what we consider fall is considered
laughable on the cool scale. But when your average temperature
this time of year is in the mid to low 80s, 65 is considered fall.
We'll take whatever cool we can get... because it will be back in
the mid 80s by the middle of the week.
Meanwhile, it's time for another Angel update.
Here is part 9.
October 31,
2010
Happy Halloween
-
to those of you that celebrate. Hope each of you make out like
a bandit in your trick-or-treating tonight. :-) Just stopping
by to add the short multi-fandom story I wrote for the Academy's
Halloween Invitational. As long as I can keep my days on track
this next week, I should be back next Sunday to add the next part of
Angel.
October 25,
2010
I have been a very bad bard
-
in that I have been remiss in posting updates this month.
Truthfully, I have only been home sporadically during most of
October - I had folks in town for two weeks and when you live in
Central Florida, that means a lot of going. Not that I didn't
enjoy having people here - I did. I always enjoy meeting up
with folks at Disney. But it also kept me very busy - to the
point that I missed my high school band reunion this last weekend. I
even managed to completely lose track of time and the days of
the week, so I've been playing catch-up since. Hopefully,
things will slow down for at least a few weeks before they go crazy
again. :-) In the
meantime, I've added part 8 of Angel. Thank you for being
patient.
September 26,
2010
You ever
-
have one of those days? I've been having one of those months
apparently. I had to take the laptop into have the battery
reseated - it was swelling to the point that it was coming out of
the computer and every single bit of pressure on it caused all sorts
of issues. I couldn't write without it moving the cursor all
over the page and going online just mean things opened and closed on
a whim. :-P However after two weeks in the computer hospital,
it is safely home again - which means I can write again... and I can
update Angel. :-)
So without further ado, part 7 of Guardian
Angel has been posted. August

2010
A Day Late
-
but hopefully not a dollar short for those of you who are following
Angel as it's being posted. I didn't forget - I went to update
yesterday morning and something was corrupted somewhere and I
couldn't get in to FrontPage to do anything. So Carol waved
her magic wand and fixed whatever was screwy - I say whatever
because we still don't know what it was.
However, her wizarding worked so part 6 of
Guardian Angel is now up for your enjoyment. August

The dog days of
summer
-
are still upon us and look to be that way for at least a little
while longer. Even regular rain can't seem to break the heat
we've been having. I wish I could say it meant I was able to
stay indoors writing furiously to get through it, but the truth of
the matter is I am out in it for hours at a time about four days a
week. I actually wouldn't mind it so much if I wasn't getting
some seriously funky tan lines, but on the plus side, I am getting
some good exercise out of it. Maybe I'll ride that crater yet.
:-) Meanwhile, here
is part 5 of Guardian Angel. August
01,
2010
Not much to say
-
today. It is just too freaking hot to have to think that hard.
Mostly, I'm stopping in to add the next bit of Guardian Angel.
My beta team and I are working on cleaning up the posted vignettes
that comprise Franklyn and Rhodes so I can finish up that
story next. I'm actually looking forward to that.
Ya'll stay cool. July 18,
2010
I almost missed
posting
-
today. My son's schedule has managed to turn my week around so
much that keeping my days on track has become something of a
challenge. Still, it did finally occur to me that today was
Sunday and my normal day for posting. So without further adieu, here
is part 3 of Guardian Angel.
July 11, 2010
I missed
posting
-
last week because the Boy absconded with my mouse - long story,
trust me -and it's actually hard for me to post without one.
However, instead of posting part 3 of Guardian Angel today, I
am putting up the multi-fandom story - A Diva's Demise - in
its entirety. The collage picture is linked in the disclaimer
part of the story for those of you who would like to see which
fandoms are included in this story.
I will be back next week to post part 3 of
Guardian Angel.
June 27, 2010
It's been
mostly quiet
-
Around here this week which has been good for me in the writing
department. I've actually gotten quite a bit done on the multi
and my poor beta-readers are about ready to start cursing my name.
And the Academy's J Crater - with the help of my good friend OZ -
created a collage of the 25 fandoms involved in this little story.
And as soon as I can remember how to do it, I will be posting that
picture. For today,
however, I am posting part 2 of Guardian Angel.
June 20, 2010
Happy Father's Day
-
To my husband and the father of my two children. I love ya! :-)
And to my dad for always being there... still... even though I've
been grown for a number of years. I hope all of you are lucky
enough to have that kind of love and stability in your lives.
Today I am starting to post a new new story
call Guardian Angel. I started it and the multi-fandom
a while back (WAY back, actually) and I'm finally at a place where
I'm comfortable to start posting here in parts. The
multi-fandom is almost complete. I am going to wait until it's
done to put it up in big chunks. When you read it, I think
you'll understand why.
June 13, 2010
I'm baaaaaack!
-
For those of you who might have missed me. For those of you
who haven't, you can blame Carol for my re-emergence... heh heh heh.
I have been quite
productive in the interim in regards to the writing. I have
one story nearly completed and another that is far enough along for
me to start posting in parts. It was the second story that
made me realize I had a problem - namely that I couldn't access my
website... much less post anything to it. However, due to
Carol's diligence and schedule resolution that allowed us hours to
re-upload all kinds of things, I am once again able to access the
website. So,
hopefully (fingers crossed), I will get to start adding stuff in the
next week. Keep an eye out! :-)
January 01, 2010
Happy New Year!
-
I hope all of you have enjoyed a good holiday season with your
friends and loved-ones. It has been quiet in my household, and
I am very thankful for that as quiet means no crises. Always a
plus in my book. I
realize I was pretty non-existent in 2009. Pink & Fluffy took
a six month hiatus and I just wasn't writing... well, anything
really. However, things did pick up for them (and by extension
me) late in the year, so I have higher hopes for a productive 2010.
I'm not quite ready to start posting anything
yet. I have 80 pages on one story and 140 on another.
When I get a little more done on both of them, I will start posting
in parts here again. Hopefully, ya'll will still be interested
in reading then. In
the meantime - Peace on Earth. We could all use it. |
